David F. Younggren, KC

Counsel

David Younggren specializes in civil litigation. He joined DBB Law in 1988 after articling to Chief Justice Laycraft at the Alberta Court of Appeal.
David became a partner in 1993 and has an established civil litigation practice including corporate contractual litigation, shareholder disputes, wrongful dismissal, real estate litigation, builders’ liens and collection matters.

He has appeared in all levels of Court, including a successful appearance on a criminal appeal (R. v. Egger) in the Supreme Court of Canada and appearances as Ad Hoc Discipline Counsel for the Law Society of Alberta.

David is a past Chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance and was a member of the Calgary Police Commission for over five years. He is also a past Chair of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta, a past Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary and has been an active member, speaker and organizer for the Canadian Bar Association.
