Zac joined DBB as an articling student in 2021.
Born and raised in Calgary, Zac first traveled east where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in international development and political science with first class honours at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He then traveled to the west coast where he earned a Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
In law school, Zac volunteered as presenter with Pro Bono Students Canada, providing high school
students with legal information about sexual assault and consent. He spent a semester in his final year as a Student Clinician at the Rise Women’s Legal Centre in downtown Vancouver, delivering legal assistance to low-income women in the areas of family and immigration law.
Zac loves to be outside. Through his undergraduate and law degrees, he spent his summers working as a tree planter in the forests of northern Alberta. These days Zac spends his time outside hiking, skiing, or on his bike.
