Mark Sawyer

Partner

Mark Sawyer articled with DBB Law in 2003 and became a partner in 2010. Mark’s practice focuses on the business and commercial aspects of the law, as well real estate and estate planning.

Mark works with many privately held businesses, advising them on their corporate, financing, contract and shareholder matters. Mark provides advice as well on the incorporation of new businesses and the sale and purchase of existing companies. He also acts for clients who are buying, selling and refinancing residential and commercial real estate, as well as those who are preparing and administering wills and estates.

Mark currently volunteers with the Bar Admission (CPLED) Course as an evaluator and has previously volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance.

Mark attended the University of Calgary where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History before getting his Law Degree from the University of Alberta.

Mark loves to golf and travel and has especially enjoyed his trips to Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as more recent trips to Florida and Hawaii with his family.
