Gordon Sterchi named Calgary Flames Ambassador of the Year

Gordon Sterchi, partner at DBB, has been named 2014 Ambassador of the Year by the Calgary Flames Ambassadors. The award recognizes his dedication, hard work and commitment to the fundraising projects undertaken by the Flames Ambassadors.

As a Flames Ambassador, Gordon has been part of the volunteer team that has raised over $4.5 million for local charities and projects supported by the Flames Foundation for Life. The Flames Foundation issues grants to CRA registered charities in support of health and wellness, amateur and grassroots sports and educational programming.

Gordon has been a Calgary Flames Ambassador since 2006 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2008. The purpose of the Calgary Flames Ambassadors is to foster links with the public and business community to generate a broad base of support for the Calgary Flames and the Flames Foundation.

“The Flames do a lot for the community that goes unnoticed,” says Gordon. “The Ambassadors are able to harness the positive brand of the Flames to help bolster fundraising efforts.”
